I'll be showing some recent landscape paintings at Kabinett & Kammer's gallery space in Andes, NY this May and June.
I feel pretty damn lucky to live in the same mountains Thomas Cole painted, so yeah, I can't help myself.
When I'm not painting trout, I paint landscapes.
Some days, walking out my door at the Spruceton Inn, I think: WHY ISN'T EVERYBODY ELSE PAINTING LANDSCAPES TOO???
It's just so drop-dead beautiful up here. And always changing. And, really, the way the clouds drape shadows across the mountains...
The show opens on Saturday, May 27th from 5-8 PM. Come for the paintings! Stay for the open bar! (And following the opening we're sure to pop by the gorgeous Wayside Taproom across the street.)
All paintings are watercolor on paper. Most are in the 5" x 8" range, a handful are bigger. The largest, like the first one on the thumbnail grid, being 22" x 30".
