How much does this cost?

That depends on a lot of factors, most importantly, how long you want me to paint? But generally speaking, I prefer it when a venue pays me flat fee for the amount of time I am painting. That way I’m not negotiating any cost per fish with your clients. They just experience the art.

It’s been a great fit when stores have me paint only on items bought in their shop that day. Put me by the register. I’m the ultimate upsell!

How many fish can you paint in a hour?

This depends on a few things like size of the fish and how simple it is to prep said shirt/hat/bag/etc, but on average one fish takes about 15 minutes per fish.

Can my venue sell the fish you’ve painted on something after the event?

Sure! We’ll just work out a separate agreement about that.

Can my venue sell your books like THE FLY FISHING BOOK: AN ARTFUL GUIDE TO ANGLING at the event too?

I highly encourage this! I’ll happily sign and dedicate them as well. If you don’t have an account with the book wholesaler Ingram, you can also get the book on Faire.com.

And what about a trade? Do you ever accept some kind of barter for live painting versus good old cash?

I’ve been known to for the right fit, but I prefer being paid.
